What the hell is going on?
FOUNDATION TRAINING in GROUP ANALYSIS
We are born into, live and work in groups: family, social and organisational. Yet how often are we at a loss as to what is going on in the group dynamic?
This one-year course is open to professionals interested in deepening their understanding and capacity to work psycho-dynamically with groups in clinical and organisational settings. Drawing on the theory of Group Analyst S.H. Foulkes, and referencing Group Relations, Social Unconscious and Systemic Theories, this training primarily focuses on the group over the individual, providing a framework to understand the unconscious dynamics in groups. In Foulkes’ view the individual can only be understood in the context of its group/s.
This unique, challenging and long standing course is offered in block format over nine weekends from September 2017 – June 2018. The main elements of training are theory, work discussion and case study seminars, crucially complemented with small group therapy and experiential large group.
